Using the Crew Administration

This feature allows you to define the Preferred Crew List that will be used in the Best Match section/screen in various screens.

This feature also allows you to define the Conflict Crew to indicate which two crew members should not sail together (for example, due to past history of fighting). So if one of the crew member is planned for a particular period, the other crew member will be excluded when searching for a reliever for that period. If both are planned for the same period, it will be indicated in the Planning Overview that there is a conflict crew. The Conflict Crew filter is always automatically applied by the system.

Creating a Preferred Crew List for Your Vessel

To create a Preferred Crew List:

1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Crew Administration under the Fleet menu.

The Crew Administration screen is displayed.

2. Under the Preferred Crew tab, select the vessel from the Vessel List, or click the + icon to add a vessel from the system.

Existing preferred crew will appear below.

 

(You can also select All Vessel, which will then include the selected crew regardless of which vessel is selected. Crew selected in All Vessel will not be able to select in individual vessels.)

3. In the Preferred Crew List section, click the + icon to add crew to the list, and - icon to remove the crew from the list.

4. Click Save to save the changes.

 

 

Creating a Conflict Crew List

To create a Conflict Crew List:

1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Crew Administration under the Fleet menu.

The Crew Administration screen is displayed.

2. Open the Conflict Crew tab.

 

3. In the Conflict Crew List section, click the + icon to add 2 crews that are in conflict to the list, and - icon to remove the crew members from the list.

4. Click Save to save the changes.
