Evaluation Register

This function allows you to set up the evaluation codes that will be used throughout the System. If you have the appropriate access rights, you will also be able to modify and delete records in this register.

The Evaluation Register represents specific evaluation criteria. Evaluation code represents the detailed criteria that a crew is evaluated or appraised on. These evaluation codes are defined by the company where a crew is given a score or rating typically before signing off the vessel. These codes are defined during implementation and consistently built up upon. This then serves as a reference for end users to streamline day-to-day operations.

Creating Evaluation Codes

To create evaluation codes:

1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Registers under the Home - Administration sub menu. Then, click Crewing, followed by Evaluation.

2. The evaluation codes that have been previously created will be displayed on the screen. To create a new evaluation code, click New.

3. The Evaluation screen will be displayed where you can enter information in the following fields:

Description

Evaluation Code

Enter a code to represent this evaluation. For example, enter 'A'.

Description

Enter a description based on the code entered. For example, if you have entered 'A' as the code, then enter 'Competence' as the description.

Details Description

You may enter a detailed description of the evaluation code if required.

Active

Select this check box to make this code active for use in the System.

4. Click Save to complete the creation of this new evaluation code.

 

 

Editing Evaluation Codes

To edit existing evaluation codes:

1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Registers under the Home - Administration sub menu. Then, click Crewing, followed by Evaluation.

2. The evaluation codes that have been previously created will be displayed on the screen. To edit an existing evaluation code, click on an entry to view its details on the Evaluation screen.

3. You may then edit the details of the evaluation code in the available fields. Please note that the main Evaluation Code field cannot be edited.

4. Click Save to save the changes you have made.

 

 

Deleting Evaluation Codes

To delete existing evaluation codes:

1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Registers under the Home - Administration sub menu. Then, click Crewing, followed by Evaluation.

2. The evaluation codes that have been previously created will be displayed on the screen. To delete an existing evaluation code, highlight an entry on the screen.

3. Click Delete. Confirm your intention to delete the evaluation code. The evaluation code will then no longer be listed on the screen.

Note: Alternatively, you can click on an evaluation code to view its details. Click Delete and confirm your intention to delete the code.
